September 22, 2020 Booster Notes

That’s a wrap on the first week of Hawk Football!  Congrats to all three Hawk teams who swept the Olathe Northwest Ravens.  Thank you to all fans that came out to support all three of our teams.

Join the Booster Club

There is still time to join the Booster Club!  Without our big fundraiser – Mulch Madness - this past Spring, we are forced to tighten our belt and look for other ways to raise funds, such as our Hawk Mask Sales, which was a huge success.  Dues raised from membership fees are more important than previous years and will help cover expenses such as team meals, which in past years were mostly covered by sponsor ad trades and couldn’t be this year due to programs not being sold at games.  Please consider joining the Booster Club if you haven’t already.  Membership fee is $60 per family and all funds go directly to support the players and program.

Help Needed

We are looking for some volunteers to post updates to our OE Football Booster twitter feed during the JV and Varsity games.  If two people would like to share the responsibility for each game, that works (that’s what we have been doing for Varsity now).   If you can help us out, please let me know!  mailto: stevefxs3@sbcglobal.net

Congratulations to Ryan Schier on being named Player of the Week presented by Community America Credit Union.  Ryan's 11 tackles, INT, & fumble recovery for TD this week led the Hawks to their win over Olathe NorthWest!

Zaxby’s Freshmen of the Week

Congratulations to Jaden Brown, who has been named Zaxbys Freshmen of the Week.  Jaden had two punt blocks, one returned for a TD and the other leading to a score.  He also punched a TD in on the ground.  Jaden was in Beast Mode!  Congrats, Jaden!
